JackpotSpyJackpotSpy is a community app: agents photograph jackpot displays at bars, and together those readings build the history that powers everyone's predictions. That only works if we're straight with you about what the app records. Here it is, plainly.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a code name (a pseudonym — pick your own or let the Spymaster generate one). Your email is never shown to other users.
- Contributions: the jackpot readings you submit — the photo (when you use the camera), the extracted dollar amounts, the machine, the location, and the time. Recording the where-and-when is the whole point of the app: it's what makes the crowd's history trustworthy.
- Location: your device location is used at contribution time to confirm you're at the venue, and on the Home screen to detect nearby locations. We do not track your location in the background.
What other users see
- Your code name only — never your email or real name.
- Approximate times on your contributions ("this evening," "2 days ago") — other users never see the exact minute you were somewhere.
- Prefer full anonymity? Turn on Undercover mode in your profile and your contributions show to others as "Undercover Agent."
How we use your data
- To build the shared jackpot history and the predictions it powers.
- Photos are processed by AI services (Google Gemini, with Anthropic Claude as fallback) solely to read the jackpot amounts off the display. Frame the jackpot display, not people.
- To run the app: unlock tracking, contribution counts, and abuse prevention.
- We do not sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (our database and storage provider) in the United States. Venue information may come from Google Places. We keep contribution history indefinitely — it's the community's shared record.
Deleting your account
Email privacy@jackpotspy.ai from your account email and we'll delete your account within 30 days: your email, code name, and profile are removed. Jackpot readings you contributed remain in the community history, permanently disconnected from you.
Age
JackpotSpy is for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
